About the event

This 14kilometer circular walk will take you up to the castle ruins of castle Dinas then across the Dragon's Back Ridge, with the last ascent rising to Waun Fach before cutting down past Gadair and returning to the car.

Arguably this walk offers some of the nicest viewpoints in Breacon from this hike. Please get intouch if you are interested in joining us.

About Me

I decided to climb my first mountain back in 2022 Little did I realise that it would become a catalyst to help me come to terms with my thoughts and, on occasion, my days of challenges. This decision came after  personal losses both from natural causes and suicide that caused the decline of my mental health, this further resulted in a developing a drug addiction. I was able too seek help through rehab and group therapy sessions I found that I wasn't alone. So don't ever think you are. I  understand how hard it can be reaching out  if anything this is the hardest part. I cant assure anything but once you get past this, it does get better.  I maybe recovering but I am still and always will be an addict. To help with my recovery i now climb mountains. I've scaled more than 280 mountains to date.

Foreverinthehills has been launched for people who not only enjoy exploring and hiking but for individuals who have gone through or are going through difficult circumstances, and just need someone to talk too. Feel welcome to accompany me on my upcoming walks by going to the events page. You can also reach us at wandrews92@yahoo.com or subscribing through the site if you'd like to.
